BLUETOOTH ANGLE OF ARRIVAL

Bluetooth AoA Positioning.

Resolve direction to reveal a more precise location.

For medical equipment, production tools and personnel tracks that need finer location detail. Array gateways receive compatible tag signals and calculate position from angle observations and installation geometry.

HOW IT WORKS

From radio signals to usable location.

Compatible tags transmit direction-finding signals. A receiving antenna array collects phase information to estimate the angle of arrival. The engine combines gateway coordinates, orientation and target height or multiple observations to calculate position.

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURECONCEPT · NOT LIVE DATA
01

Transmit

Compatible tags send configured direction-finding signals.

02

Measure angles

Array samples estimate azimuth and elevation.

03

Calculate position

Combine station coordinates, orientation and height.

04

Integrate

ACServer pushes results to the business system.

Finer location detail

Direction information supports a transition from zones to coordinates.

PoE installation

Ceiling mounting allows centralized network and power planning.

Application interfaces

Connect through ACServer MQTT, HTTP or WebSocket interfaces.

DEPLOYMENT ESSENTIALS

Check the deployment requirements.

01Indoor JJ-IS40BXPA accuracy is specified as <0.5m unobstructed; the outdoor version specifies within 1m. Do not interchange these figures.

02A coverage radius of about 1.5 times mounting height is nominal. Account for blind spots, target height and edge accuracy.

03Standard iBeacon devices or a Bluetooth 5.x label alone do not establish AoA support. Verify direction-finding packets and firmware.
