HOW IT WORKS
A signal produces a phase difference at spatially separated antennas. Array geometry and RF calibration translate this into an angle estimate. An angle alone does not uniquely determine a complete position: range, additional angles or other constraints are normally required.
A compatible tag transmits a signal for phase observation.
Dedicated RF hardware obtains multi-antenna phase measurements.
